The Barna Range features a sculptural, cutting-edge geometric island set against a backdrop of Schüller Glassline matt cabinetry in lava black. Created in collaboration with Taylor McCarney Architects and Coastal Fabrications, with cabinetry by Schüller Kitchens, this project balances striking form with exceptional function.

The design of the island draws from the client’s interest in music, and is inspired by the angular forms of the Szczecin Concert Hall in Poland, which is designed to carefully reflect sound within the interior. The gold leaf tiling for the splashback was also inspired to mimic the interior of the auditorium, adding a touch of opulence.

Despite its minimalist one-wall layout, this kitchen is designed for serious use, featuring an integrated fridge/freezer, a paired-back extraction fan, inset sink and cooktop, and a KitchenAid speed oven described by our client as “the Swiss Army knife of ovens—it literally does everything.”
