Donegal Range
Rooted in craftsmanship and shaped by its setting, this bespoke kitchen celebrates the natural beauty of Irish Elm while embracing a quietly contemporary sensibility. Designed to respond to the room’s unique architecture, the space blends organic materials with precision detailing to create a kitchen that feels both grounded and purposeful.
Classic in-frame shaker cabinetry is crafted from beautiful Irish Elm, with curved cabinets, square cornicing and tongue & groove panelling. The warmth and wildness of the Elm’s character is contrasted with machined stainless-steel finishes of the appliances, sleek handles and exposed butt hinges. Oak butcherblock and solid black granite makes up worktops along with a cream tile backsplash.
Cabinetry intelligently follows the irregular contours of the room, with the kitchen separating the main modes of function: Food storage, cooking and clean/prep into distinct separate zones, with the all-important working triangle between. A peninsula breakfast bar sweeps between the kitchen and the lower-level living area. In this way, the kitchen sweeps and curves much like the flowing grain of the Irish Elm its built from.
The result is a kitchen that feels inherently connected to its surroundings, where form, function, and materiality move in harmony. Much like the timber that defines it, the design is expressive yet balanced, flowing effortlessly between work, living, and gathering, and standing as a timeless example of considered bespoke design.
