Headford Range

This painted L-shaped kitchen and island is a testament to the enduring appeal of character oak, with solid wood handleless doors and drawers set flush within the cabinetry for modern finish. Handmade with pride in our Co. Mayo workshop and set against the scenic backdrop of Co. Galway, with a quality of design and build to last generations.

Styled in contemporary in-frame shaker, grey-painted cabinetry is paired with stainless steel handles and traditional butt hinges, while handleless units in piped oak bring warmth and depth. Rivière Rose Quartz, laced with delicate bluish-pink veins, adds a subtle vibrancy to the warm white worktop, which waterfalls gracefully over the island and sweeps upward into a full backsplash.

Three Miele ovens are set at an ergonomic height for effortless use, while the undermounted sink is thoughtfully positioned between pull-out bins and dishwasher, alongside a flush stovetop and discreetly concealed hood. The integrated fridge/freezer is within easy reach for both the cook and those simply in search of a snack. The island offers generous prep space and casual seating for four, inviting conversation to flow as easily as the cooking.

Character oak cabinetry compliments the home’s exposed solid wood beams, allowing the open-plan layout to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, both physically and visually. Handleless doors and push-open drawers bring a modern precision to the wood’s organic textures: swirls, flecks and burls make every surface unique. There is no substitute for the tactile warmth of tracing your fingertips over the full depth of the grain.

The result is a kitchen that feels as though it has always belonged, rooted in the home yet built with modern conveniences. The project’s beauty is not from decoration, but an inherent quality of the materials themselves. Every wood surface invites touch, and every closer look rewards delightful detail.
