This wall is a laminate finish. I used this because it had the look and tones I wanted. This particular product also had the 'v' joint between the boards which gives it a more realistic look. As it also functions as the bedhead, ensuring it was a smooth surface when you lean against it or touch it was nice to have in the bedroom too.
How did you mount the laminate onto the wall without fear of it sliding off? Did you use adhesive as well as the tongue n groove locking mechanism? What is the edging that you used to frame/box it all in? In the UK here and looking to do the same to panel my hallway. Thanks
The laminate floor was attached to the wall using 2 processes. It was glued and 'secret nailed' (if you Google 'Secret Nail' you should find some helpful hints. It is basically where a nail is shot through the the tongue portion of the laminate flooring to ensure it is secure without being seen. The edging is a small aluminium angle, it was just enough to cover the edge of the laminate and still disappear in the colour tones. The flooring I chose had a 'V' joint in it which also gave it a more realistic look. I hope this all helps you and best of luck with your project!
