“We worked with Edel between January and September 2025 on a single storey bungalow project, which we wanted to be a passive house standard build with innovative building/construction technology. After the initial meeting and a few iterations in the outside design of the house, Edel and her team delivered a drawing, which met our expectations. Edel was very helpful in advising on additional resources we needed to engage with, in order to complete the package for planning application to Cork County Council. Edel showed flexibility to liaise with the recommended landscape designer and structural engineer, as well as with the engineered timber company we have shown interest in, to ensure a robust design for our new home. We thank Edel for her professional support in submitting our planning application, and the later requested additional information packages. We trust her knowledge and experience benefitted the design of our home-to-be, as well as the planning application process, which should soon result in a successful outcome from the council.”

“I was involved in a project recently where David was engaged as the Architect. It involved the modernisation of a 30 year old farm house bungalow in North Kerry. I was asked to prepare a tender on the project for a local contractor. I called to site to meet with the contractor, the client and David. We went through the drawings and any queries were answered promptly to allow us to prepare an accurate tender. The tender was successful and works commenced on site. David worked within the client’s budget and worked hand in hand with the Builders to ensure the project stayed on time and within budget. Any issues that arose by dealing with a 30 year house were dealt with practically and swiftly. The end result was a complete transformation of the house, from a dated bungalow into a modern dwelling taking full advantage of the space and maximising the potential of the site, while staying within the tight budget constraints. I would have no hesitation in recommending David Moriarty and his colleagues for similar works in the future and I know that David has already picked up further work from this satisfied client, by recommending him to his friends and family.”

“Rob Jacob of JLS Design took on a tricky project, in that plans of the existing house had to be drawn up, plans for the new development drawn up, the necessary planning permission sought and the services of a structural engineer utilised for the base platform and steel work to be used. Rob not only gained all the necessary planning permission but also co-ordinated the project in conjunction with the structural engineer, welders and builder I had selected, the end result is stunning and has added tens of thousands onto the value of the house and completely transformed it for me to another dimension of living. The project consisted of a large first floor balcony and spiral staircase leading to a new tiled patio beneath. The project has added around 32m2 of new outdoor usable space to the house. Throughout the whole process Rob was easily contactable and enthusiastic regards the outcome and was great to work with. I believe his professional presentation to the planning dept helped greatly in gaining approval for the project.”
