What would you do with this kitchen? Help!
Comments (16)You need some kitchen accessories kettle etc that tie in with the red and also some artwork. The red you have chosen looks on my monitor to be a cool red, perhaps a bit of a warmer shade would help. i would also extend the dining area curtains down to the floor, they will cosy up the space, as would a statement rug to give a bit more life to the room. If your living room is green then it may be nice to have some token green of the same shade, somewhere in the kitchen, a plant or some artwork, and add a bit of the kitchen red to your living room, so that there is some continuity of colour in your home, as opposed to having two separate colour boxes and never the twain shall meet.....See MoreHideous 70s Kitchen help us please
Comments (7)Well I am a very plain sort of a person and I don't like overdoing patterns. The timber in the cupboards is beautiful and I feel that bench top would detract from it. I would have as plain as possible top in a cream/beige to enhance the timber. This would give you plenty of choice of other colours in the room. I don't feel I can really comment on colours as I can't tell the aspect of your room or the lighting nor do I know what other colours you have through the house. The only downside to the cupboard doors you are considering is that they will attract dust and being in the kitchen a greasy dust....See Morekitchen worktop help - laminate vs stone
Comments (0)Hi I'm planning a new kitchen as part of a refurb and need some advice on worktops. I have always had a laminate worktop in kitchens before and now have the chance to get a stone worktop which I have always thought would be the obvious choice given the opportunity. However, I've been told that they can be quite noisy with dishes etc, especially in a open plan which is what we will have. Also another person told me she wishes she'd gone with laminate because of you drop a dish on the quartz top it will surely break. ( I hadn't thought of this!) Anyone with experience of laminate and stone in an open plan space who can offer thoughts? Thanks in advance!...See MoreF&B Ammonite or Cornforth White Kitchen help!
Comments (0)Last piece of the puzzle is deciding on kitchen cabinet colour and I’m worried I’m going to make wrong decision. I’m going for light and bright but don’t want the kitchen to feel cold and clinical. I have light gray porcelain tiles, White Carrera Quartz worktop with light gray veining. Island will be navy or deep teal/gray. Does anyone have thoughts about Ammonite vs Cornforth White, both Farrow & Ball. Does Ammonite look chalky white? The look I’m going for is on 2nd photo. The kitchen only gets sun in the summer, it’s west facing....See Morecarleenwalsh21
