Is it worth moving a hot water tank downstairs to open up the area between a narrow stairwell and a boxed in windowless landing. It feels very claustrophobic and dark. I would put in spindles instead. I will be cutting back the partition I can that little bit that is putting out and replacing it with one spindle.
I am also installing tunable white led smart GU10 recessed bulbs in this area and linking it to the Philips Hue bridge to set to the natural light feature that changes colour temperature to mimic circadian rhythm.
I am getting a wall light for the long wall I face as I walk down the stairs.
If I got rid of the hot water tank I would have space for a small table and a lamp.
Should I put in a sun tunnel?
I really hate the lack of natural light in this area.
