Design ideas for small bathroom
I have a small bathroom (2m x 2.5m) in a Victorian terraced house. The ceiling is sloped, and everything is a bit cramped inside.
Potential things I'd like to change:
- New tiles and flooring
- Move sink to under window
- Change radiator to towel radiator attached to boiler cupboard (see picture)
- Straight panel bath instead of curved
- Also, the ceiling lights I want to change to LED.
Would love to get some suggestions as I'm on my own doing this so not sure what would be best.

Comments (6)It small But your cabin sink unit is a good idea as you have storage space and it looks neat. I have changed my bath many times to shower unit and it has leaked every time, some times it has been the plumbers fault or bad design then it was a visitor who let the water spill while showering the last time it flooded the insurers wanted the bathroom TANKED! meaning waterproof walls and floors. This is done by an experienced plumber contractor of repute! as the insurers said too many claims from too many people with bad waterproofing. the insurer said they would not insure again or any other clients who had not got their bathroom water proofed by expert plumber fitters. Comments (5)If it was me, I would centre it and only silicone the back. I understand your concerns about water going down the side. Realistically, though, as you will only be washing your hands and maybe teeth in it, there is unlikely to be much water gushing about. To detract from the fact there is not as much space on either side of sink, I would have carpenter either wall mount or put legs on the cabinet so there is space underneath and the unit doesn't look too chunky!...See MoreRenovated Bathroom Ceiling Colour

10 months agoNo. I also don't think you could fit a bath along that wall and think the bath is well placed within this room.
However, the boiler looks like it is 54 wide and 59 deep which means you have 2.5 - 0.54 on the window wall. Leaving 1.96. Assuming the 0.9 at the thinnest end, this would leave 1.06 space where the radiator is.
I think I would add the toilet and sink to this wall - toilet under the window and then a sink with mirror and lighting above besides the boiler cupboard. Obviously, as you said, changing for a straight bath so it doesn't bulge in front of the toilet. This layout shouldn't be a problem as this is the outside wall.
Your towel rail would then go on the current toilet wall/position so easy to reach on leaving the shower/bath and after using the sink.
This layout aesthetically will be more pleasing and make the space feel larger and more open as nothing would be in front of you when entering and when stepping out of the bath. Nothing obscures the window and the mirror can bounce the light easily around the room.
There are also lots of sets (toilet and wc in one) that would fit into this space which maybe easier in terms of space.

9 months agoI would do as you suggested, have a straight bath, move the sink and I would have a tall towel ladder radiator where you have put it on your plan. I have a freestanding shower bath in my bathroom which gives the impression of more space, also deep but not too wide. I moved my bath, and sink around and my bathroom now looks squarer instead of long and narrow
