Compact Bathroom Design Help
I'm getting my bathroom renovated early this year and am looking for some help. I have various bathroom design, supply and install companies looking at it but would like to get others opinions in case I'm missing anything.
I've attached some dimensions and pictures. Looking for something very contemporary. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
I'm looking at taking the bath out and putting in a shower. It's a 1st floor apartment so it's unlikely I'll be to do a floor level wetroom - it would have to be raised at a minimum.
Thoughts on colour? I like monochromatic but also like darker colours as well. There is no natural light in the room so would I be better steering away from dark?
In terms of the sink I would like a counter top basin but am unsure whether to go with a vanity unit or a console tap. What about marble, natural stone etc...?

A lot depends on budget but if you are re-fitting areas we could recommend fittings for the walls plus how about highlighting the top of wall with a good bathroom uplighter around edge - LED perhaps. The issue is that it is too flat as the colours are similar. If you added more depths of light it would help greatly. Of course we do a full range of bathroom fittings too so even a simple thing like two well chosen wall lights would help significantly. So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Any of the designers I've googled seem to have no pictures of bathrooms they've designed and I would like to see previous work as I don't want to end up with a study in sand and beige, which seems to be the fashion these days. We are lucky enough to have a pretty big bathroom so I want it to be bright and airy. Attached is a rough sketch of what I am thinking for the layout. It would be a wetroom, so a shower in the bottom left hand corner. It has to be here as the room is in a dormer and slopes downward towards the back wall where the toilet is. So there would be a screen between the shower and the free standing bath. Then the toilet and the sink. I just did a bathroom renovation without a window almost identical size to yours. See photo, I like the dark wall which has a chrome towel rail behind the door even though it's a small room. Best of luck.
