Hi. The kitchen looks lovely. As the windows are lower than the units I would avoid tiling or a splashback all the way round the kitchen. Maybe just either go for a decorative tiled splashback behind the hob or use a glass splashback. Keep it simple with clear/light coloured glass or look at other decorative ideas with wallpaper, art etc. Alternatively just tile that oven ŵall about a foot high, handmade metro tiles in a pale olive would look nice. I noticed you like copper so I don't know if this is an idea? I have just bought my first home and have had 3 jobs done so far. I have felt totally overwhelmed and unprepared for the questions I was asked and decisions I had to make, so hoping I can get some advice before the nest job! I am single without anyone who I can really ask for help so apologies if these are stupid questions! Kitchen Makeover; the kitchen is fine but not to my taste. I want to remove the wall units and put in shelves, remove the wall tiles and re-tile, lay new floor, spray the cabinets, replace the counter tops and sink. The thing is I don't know what order to do it in. My guess: Remove wall units Re-tile/paint Respray cabinets Replace counter tops & sink Lay floor If anyone can let me know if I am on the right track that would be great. Thank you!

Ideas for a space off kitchen

Hi, Just wondering if anyone would have any ideas for what to use the spaces off our kitchen for. These are very rough drawings to give an idea of the layout. The kitchen/diner were renovated a couple of years ago, but budget restrictions meant we didn't come up with plans for the area at the top right of the drawing. The small room on the extreme top right has a sink and some shelves. We have been using it to store our paint and accessories while DIYing the rest of the house. The space to the left of this, we built a partition wall to separate it from the kitchen and we have a freezer, some shelves, hoover, ironing board etc there. While it is very useful, we feel that the usage of the front utility room is not being maximised, and the partitioned area is a bit of a dumping ground. We have a utility room for washing machine/dryer out the back on this floor, so we don't need that. Any ideas/suggestions would be really gratefully received. Thanking you so much, Jen

Kitchen/ utility layout - How best to access office?

Might be an expensive option but could you create a short (?glass) external corridor from the dining area into office by going outside the existing wall, ie come outside of the dining area and turn right into the office by putting a door where you have a window in the 1st plan. I don’t know how that would work with where your patio doors are. Maybe you could shift them to the right, have a short section of wall to the left of them and then a doorway (poss no door needed) between that and the corner of the dining/utility/office

@Holzman Interiors, Inc. The cabinets are white oak with a light driftwood stain.
