Bronze Lighting?

Hi everyone,

I really like the look of these bronze pendants but I have never used bronze lighting before. I am wondering if the gold-ish hue of the interior of these shades would cast a somewhat orange light? I am planning to use them over my dining table and whilst I favour warm light temperatures generally I wonder if this would be almost orange. . Any thoughts appreciated!!

They will cast a warm light but on a wooden table it may look really good, perhaps less so on a white surface.

I have a light that has a copper inside in my living room and love it. However we don't tend to use the overhead light, instead use lamps, so I don't see the orangeness much! It definitely does give an orange glow. If orange was in your decor in your kitchen it could be nice, otherwise I think it would be a bit much particularly if you were using more than one pendant!!

For what it is worth, I don't generally recommend leaning mirrors over fireplaces. They may reflect a chandelier, but what they primarily reflect is the ceiling. Not attractive in most instances. Just food for thought... The above recommendations are both terrific. Be sure they are scale appropriate.

I love dark walls and I think your hall with the shiny floors and the right finish on the wall make it special. You already have the wrought iron, which definitely dictates a certain look. I hesitate to recommend a specific color from my monitor, but look at the BM colors in the 1037’s through the 1078’s and see if there is something there which looks good with the tile.

if you're not going to center the dining room table under the light, then I'd tend toward a flush or semi-flush fixture, to de-emphasize the alignment. You might want to remove the medallion from the ceiling too. As for the kitchen it looks like you have decent overall lighting -- maybe you're looking for a couple of pendants over the island? simple glass globes, maybe? here are a few styles to start you out.

What a wonderful hall looks fantastic. For the carpet I would (budget allowing) use chrome or brass stair rods on each stair would look brilliant in there. You could always get an old or cheap console table & paint it yourself in silver or bronze etc.

Joanne, I have recently purchased the bronze light below. It doesn’t cast any kind of orange or coloured light. It gives off the same light as the clear crystal lighting I have.
