need advice sitting room will i change fireplace and mirror to white and what walpaper at wall over fire pla
Comments (4)shelly12345...not sure if you have completed your fireplace/room, just saw this post while looking for help with my own family room. I think would paint the fireplace and mirror white...would match the trim work of your room and your lighter furnishings. Something that was suggested to me...use some fabric or poster board to cover the wood on both, just to give you an idea of what it would look like white. That way you are not committed once the paint has been applied to the wood. I love Dytectur's idea of wallpapering the room and having the fireplace wall white. Would really pop! Good luck and post pictures if your finished or when you finish....See MoreNew mirror
Comments (15)I think the large mirror covering the whole wall will be too big with the tv right there. I am into the antlers but I don't think they relate to anything else in the room other than the fireplace itself. I think your best bet is a simple round mirror. I know you've been shopping locally - if you are open to online, overstock has a big selection. Here is one that incorporates some gold and silver so it picks up your chandelier but is still pretty simple. http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Raymond-Round-Mirror/8403155/product.html?refccid=2CDPCEBNTZLJLASNJPTJVEOR7M&searchidx=14...See MoreWhich mirror above the fireplace?
Comments (28)Snan, The bottom oval one in Eskandari's photos would also work in your room (or something like that). The oval shape visually gives height to the room which would work for you as well. I know that shopping around can sometimes be exhausting, but if you were up for the search that would be another option if you're not sure about the round one you have already. I would also look for something that combines the elements of your wallpaper as well as your fireplace (if you are not planning on changing it) in order to bring those together, i.e. try to bring in the color tones of the two....See MoreNeed help choosing wall lights for mirrored wall cabinet in bathroom
Comments (4)Thank you, Stan, for your advice. I was contemplating putting a similar light like yours above the cabinet, but decided I prefer lights on either side, as there is a lot of space which I'd like to fill a little. I will also put them on top of tiles, so another point to consider. The ones I had chosen only protrude 90 mm from the wall, so I wonder if they should protrude at least the same as the cabinet, which is 150 mm, to illuminate the face, when putting on make up or in general. Here is a picture of the lights I really liked...and another one in a room situation ( not my bathroom), but they are next to a mirror with minimal depth. I like them a lot, but am open to other options, just wondered about projection....See Moredecoenthusiaste
