Building a Home Flooring Gardens

Hi, we're having a house built. It's an 'L' shape with a garden inside 'L'. The architect has designed sewage pipes to go under the house as garden will have a couple of trees and plants. The constructor is saying it's better to put them in garden area running along outside of house and doesn't think there'll be a problem with the plant roots. Does anyone have an opinion on this ?

I think it depends on the trees. Some have bigger roots.
I would go back to the architect for an explanation. You should remember contractor advice is often motivated about making a job easier for them.

Jonathan is absolutely right and on this one I would suggest that you ask your Architect to speak to the contractor to give them their rationale.

It also depends upon the type of pipework that the contractor proposes for his alternative location.

Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. Hello I have a shed out the back of my garden, it was a wendy shed with specially designed frills and edges. It was constructed 14 years ago and I replaced the roof recently but the frills and edges were specially designed. Could anyone point me in the direction of someone who may do such work? or a place that might sell some parts like it? We are retiring to a very scenic area whereby in the spring summer and autumn, we can cook and dine outdoors. However the winter is harsh and wet for 3 months. Can anyone help with ideas ? I would love an area 6 m x 6 m just outside the back of the house. What material for cover and construction ?
