Wendy Shed roofing

Hello

I have a shed out the back of my garden, it was a wendy shed with specially designed frills and edges. It was constructed 14 years ago and I replaced the roof recently but the frills and edges were specially designed. Could anyone point me in the direction of someone who may do such work? or a place that might sell some parts like it?

Hi Shelwal, Garden Rooms can be a good idea. You would get your extra room and depending on what you decide on ( size/style/final use etc), most can be built under permitted development rules, so no planning permission would be required. We build ours with Structurally Insulated Panels (SIP) panels, so they are quick to erect, cheap to heat and last forever. What you your options are depends upon what you want to have when you're done: whether you want to keep a nook of some kind for your table and chairs or just use a formal dining room you also have; whether your budget and inclination is to add a room or enlarge a room; what room has the other two windows and/or door or patio doors -- right wing of the house; whether you wish to create an open floor plan and connect what is now the breakfast nook with the room with the window beside the pimple and the door or patio doors; whether you want to lose the window that looks out at the pimple. You'll want to take into consideration what effect what you do will have on your ability to position your table and chairs in the breakfast nook centered beneath that really niece light fixture above it. You might consider extending the roof line of the right wing of the house where the window and door(s) overlook the pimple so you could bump out that wall to a point beyond the left / far wall of the pimple and connect the two rooms. You could use a shed roof, possibly even using glass roofing and, in lieu of windows, add patio doors to that wall.

Hello I have recently replaced the roof on my Wendy shed and am looking for someone who may be able to do the edges and frills for it as the previous parts are rotted and had to be discarded. Can anyone recommend someone who does this type of work? Or know of a place in Ireland where you could buy the parts? Shed roof insulation

Hi all, I hope some of you can help this DIY noob. I am attempting to insulate our shed with view to it being my office. I have some Kingspan foam insulation and wallboard. From the images attached I have a few queries: • Should I have the insulation flush to the joists and use insulation tape to secure it before I apply the wallboard? • I envisage having the plasterboard come across the beams /---\ Should the insulation go to the top ? • Lastly for now - does anyone know what that groove on the wallboard is for? Any other advice welcome. Thanks
