I share your pain. Tub is too long and slippery. The solutions presented didn’t work because the bottom of the tub is textured. Luckily the sides are smooth. So the final working solution is to purchase two suction foot rests designed for the shower. Determine where your feet will rest, and stick them on sideways giving you a place to rest your foot. Now don’t try to leverage your whole body, and it will serve you well. The other part of my solution is a clear suction bath at, which of course won’t stick to the bottom, but will stick to the smooth back of the tub. It provides a surface to sit on that doesn’t slide away. Add a bath pillow and you are good to go. Purchased the mat and suction foot rests at Amazon. Solution under $50.

Hi, I have the same problem in my hallway. If your budget is tight, just replacing the ceiling light with something like a starburst pendant with at least 6 bulbs would instantly improve the space. Also I would hang some bold and bright artwork on the walls and put a runner on the floor. Mirrors are also great for your space. I'm attaching a photo example. See how the eye is instantly drawn to the bold door? Also if you can repaint the wall, I would recommend you to use glossy finish paint so the light can bounce off the walls too. How would you decorate this living room? It's 15ft wide by 23ft long so a good big room. There's a an arch into the kitchen and 2 small bedrooms off it. Double doors at the back & at the front. tv going on wall beside open arch stove in that corner also. I'm thinking of separating the room into two areas. L shaped couch around tv area & coffee table and armchair in the back corner for kind of reading area. Your help would be great!! Thanks
