Paint ideas living space
Comments (13)I'd paint white the TV wall in oder to make it visually higher and to hide the white color of the door, now the dark color under lines that it is rather low and different from two main doors color and height of third one. I like brown FP wall, it works good with sofas and will attract eyes visually raising the ceiling above TV furniture. And one more thing I'd think about: the 1-st photo shows that there are too much unconnected different heights (doors, mirror, TV furniture, FP wall, ceiling). Definitely some heights are needed to be connected. I'd put lower the mirror and the shelf above FP so that the TV furniture and the mirror up lines were the same height. To bring more colors into the room as it was mentioned above I'd pick up some colors from the art work for cushions and curtains....See MoreOpen Plan Kitchen \ Living Design Advice
Comments (0)Hi, We're looking for some design options for a house we are planning to buy. We love the house location but the kitchen \ living area is proving to be a bit of a dilemma. There is a lot of glass in the kitchen area with full length windows to the front and rear which limits the options for layouts. We had a kitchen design prepared but are unsure if this really makes the best use of the space - it includes a corner dining area which while using the space feels a bit cramped for a family of 5. Due to the door position into the kitchen the builders design looks odd as they have placed the kitchen table right in line of sight of the front door so placing the table there seems a no no. We want to have an island in the kitchen ( its plumbed etc for one ) which we can have up to 5 high seats around which is in the design. We would like to have a TV in the room ( again limited places to put one on the walls due to the glass ) and would like some suggestions on layouts there also ( maybe the TV has to go ! ) - without something that completely blocks the access to the rear doors. Any thoughts gratefully received !...See MoreLarge 1970s internal refurb to open plan, larger living spaces
Comments (2)Another option that I was thinking of, knock the internal glass walls of the conservatory and make the hall smaller - this leaves a very large open plan space (9m x 6.4m) but I have no idea how best a space like this could be used?? Can anyone give me their thoughts here? Need to move if I am to make an offer...See MoreLove some advice for our open living/kitchen/office space.
Comments (0)Hello I would love to hear some advice on redecorating our open living/kitchen/office. When I first painted it we were going for that clean modern look of gray/white/yellow. Its been years like this and now with us working from home the room has a cold, office like energy to it. It's amazing how you can live in a space and not really see it for what it is. Looking at these pictures I'm ashamed to think this has been our living conditions for so long. Its been well over a year since we removed the fireplace I still have not gotten around to painting that bit of skirting board. The ability to make tangible improvements to my everyday reality has been right there at my fingertips and I failed to notice. ''High is the way but all eyes are upon the ground'' The large wall hanging was our latest attempt to add some colour. My girlfriend is drawn to those earthy colours or boho look. I'd like to make it a cosier/warmer space. With the great recommendations I've seen in other threads here I'm excited to see what advice you have....See MoreDar Eckert
