Hi elconno, Not sure if you are in USA but I would suggest two colors by Sherwin-Williams called Upward and Wallstreet. The pic doesn't do the colors justice but the dark one I would put only on the wall your fridge is on - that includes the little strip above the cabinets. This will make the fridge disappear a little and it will be a great wall for a piece of art with a lot of color - it will really pop! The lighter color will go well with any teal accents you want and brighten the space.

I think your colors are restful so I would work with those and not pop a color. Maybe some interesting artwork that had some color in it, but I think you should go for a more elegant calm look. By the way, I like the chandelier you have with the fireplace. I think I would paint the lower part of your wall the same blue as is in the top part. Then I would add some black accents in glass and lamps. Curtains that have a sheen or gold thread would be nice.

I have just had a dark north facing narrow entrance hall painted in Great White (F&B) and the inside of a stained glass hall door painted Lace Glove (Colourtrend) . I do not like the effect of the 'ice white' look from the Great White around the door and have now asked the painter to paint just that area with a deeper pink colour (Romance by Fleetwood) to match one of the colours in the stained glass. I now think it looks too pink! Another sample pot which I haven't used but very similar colour is Cinder Rose (F&B). Any suggestions as to what would warm up the area surrounding the hall door?
