“We worked with Josh to design and project manage an extension to our 1930s house in Dublin 7. It included demolishing our old kitchen and lean-to sheds, and building a new kitchen/dining room with a downstairs bathroom / utility room. Beforehand we visited several clients in the local area who had positive experiences with House Architects. The pricing structure was very clear. Josh was a pleasure to work with, and unflappable, which is always very reassuring. Once we had designs we were happy with, he worked to put the project out to tender and managed the relationship and the payments to the builder. This was the most valuable aspect for us. Particularly towards the end of the project, there were probably issues where we would have let the builder cut corners, but it was great to have Josh there to hold the line and ensure the project was completed to specification. We've been living with our extension for 18 months now and we're delighted with it - it's transformed the way we use the house and the garden.”

“David worked on our house renovation from Jan-Jul 2016. We found him to be personable, accessible, opinionated (in a good way) and committed to delivering a project that works well and is beautiful. During the design of our house, David worked through three iterations of drawings until he and we agreed a plan. David gained a good understanding of what we needed and incorporated our needs into the plans. David helped us to recruit a very good builder. During the build it was invaluable having David around to ensure building was being done in accordance with national safety standards but also to negotiate with the builder how certain work should be done e.g. David insisted on RSJs being recessed, had strong opinions on the height of the extension, and the positioning of a roof light to achieve maximum light and aesthetic appeal. David was a great help in telling us where to source materials in particular the door but also floors, the kitchen and bathroom furniture. He renovates houses all the time so if you know what you want, he can tell you where to get it. David is really interested in producing beautiful work so he's a great person to have in your corner and is always a pleasure to deal with. We recommend highly.”

“We hired Style my Room to complete a design for our kitchen/dining and living rooms. We had a lot of space however our rooms were badly laid out and didn't fit the needs of our family. We met with Jackie Carton and she got a feel for what we wanted to achieve within the space available and she came back with 2 great options. She did a reconfiguration of 2 rooms which was much more appropriate to our needs and a kitchen refit. We also got her to suggest an interior design for us and we were extremely happy with this. She listened to what we wanted and was very respectful of our budget. She came back with mood boards with designs for each room on them and after we took them in and made some small changes (although I would totally trust her design judgement) we were very happy with the outcome. I must say the overall results have been fantastic and we are very happy with the overall finished product. The new room configuration has really maximised the space we have and is so much more appropriate to our needs. and our growing family. The design is modern and fresh but it is very much in keeping with what we wanted. We are thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Jackie (and the builders Timber Creations she recommends and works with) and her work. Thanks Jackie!”

“I asked Sarah if she could help me get some dining chairs upholstered, which have sentimental value to us. I wanted to get a good match to the colour scheme in my room. She found the chosen fabric at a very affordable price in a very short space of time and recommended an award winning upholstery company where the chairs were upholstered. The result was fantastic and a significant difference was achieved at an affordable price. They have given a real lift to the bedroom and blend in so well with the overall colour scheme. Sarah also suggested a new design for our bedroom to complement and use existing furniture and colours, so that I could enhance the bedroom. She presented a beautiful scheme which included a new mahogony dressing table, side tables, lamps, curtains and bedspreads. I can now enhance the room when the time suits me bit by bit and know that I am following a beautiful interior scheme. Sarah is an excellent interior designer, she is very friendly, approachable and motivated. I was 100% satisfied with her designs and work and I would thoroughly recommend her for your interior project.”
