“Eva provides a unique and really useful service. In 2 hours she gave me scaled drawings of 4 options to change the layout of the kitchen/living/dining space. As an architect she understands light and space plus the practical implications of changes.I am really excited now about taking it forward with Eva.”

“Tasked with the complete renovation of a large seaside 1960s holiday property, and with no prior experience of property renovation I found myself in need of expert advice. The house suffered from a litany of problems dating back to the original build, which needed immmediate remedy, and also required an internal reconfiguration to make it more suitable for modern living. I hired DMVF Architects to oversee the project from design and planning permission through to the completion of the building works. I worked closely with Colm Doyle of DMVF for 6 months on the project, and found his advice on every element - from structural considerations to interior design decisions - invaluable. The project was completed on time, and on budget, and far exceeded the expectations of my family for whom I oversaw the project. The core issues such as chronic damp have been cured, and the house enjoys a new lease of life as the perfect holiday home. I have no hesitation in recommending DMVF Architects, and Colm Doyle in particular.”

“We worked with Josh to design and project manage an extension to our 1930s house in Dublin 7. It included demolishing our old kitchen and lean-to sheds, and building a new kitchen/dining room with a downstairs bathroom / utility room. Beforehand we visited several clients in the local area who had positive experiences with House Architects. The pricing structure was very clear. Josh was a pleasure to work with, and unflappable, which is always very reassuring. Once we had designs we were happy with, he worked to put the project out to tender and managed the relationship and the payments to the builder. This was the most valuable aspect for us. Particularly towards the end of the project, there were probably issues where we would have let the builder cut corners, but it was great to have Josh there to hold the line and ensure the project was completed to specification. We've been living with our extension for 18 months now and we're delighted with it - it's transformed the way we use the house and the garden.”

“David worked on our house renovation from Jan-Jul 2016. We found him to be personable, accessible, opinionated (in a good way) and committed to delivering a project that works well and is beautiful. During the design of our house, David worked through three iterations of drawings until he and we agreed a plan. David gained a good understanding of what we needed and incorporated our needs into the plans. David helped us to recruit a very good builder. During the build it was invaluable having David around to ensure building was being done in accordance with national safety standards but also to negotiate with the builder how certain work should be done e.g. David insisted on RSJs being recessed, had strong opinions on the height of the extension, and the positioning of a roof light to achieve maximum light and aesthetic appeal. David was a great help in telling us where to source materials in particular the door but also floors, the kitchen and bathroom furniture. He renovates houses all the time so if you know what you want, he can tell you where to get it. David is really interested in producing beautiful work so he's a great person to have in your corner and is always a pleasure to deal with. We recommend highly.”

“We got Joe to design sunroom / family area for our 3 bed semi in Dublin. We were delighted with the finished product. He spent the time at design stage giving us plenty of options not just one. We found him very friendly and explained the whole process in a simplified way as we were nervous of the whole process. I would rate him full 5 except for the 3 week wait we had to get him to call out........busy guy but delighted we got him.”

“We engaged BDA to plan a renovation and extension of a 1930s build 3 bed semi. The renovation and extension involved a complete gutting of the existing building, extending to the back and new insulation. Alan Burns was our architect for the duration of the project. He helped assemble our team of builder (AK Builders), engineer (Robert Barry) and energy consultant (Arthur O Donnell) for the project and were more than satisfied with the result. BDA presented us with several designs and once we agreed on a final design they ran the tendering process and vetted the winner. All aspects of the project were over seen to a considerable level of detail by BDA and we had weekly site meetings to go over progress and address changes. We also utilised their optional fixtures and fittings advice and were accompanied to various blinds, lighting, kitchen and bathroom showrooms by Alan. We found his to be one of the best features as we simply did not have the time or expertise to apply the level of practical consideration that Alan provided before choosing our kitchen and bathroom. Also having Alan on board at this level meant that the builder had all rooms ready and correctly measured up for the delivery of the fixtures. Alan was present at all times during the project either by email or phone and never once delayed in giving us assistance or advice when we needed it. Post project snags were address by the builder and BDA were also heavily involved in this part of the process, ensuring that the original spec was fully realised. I would have no hesitation I recommending Bright Design Architects to anyone requiring their services.”
