Lux Life Interior LtdThe Paddocks, Writtle
Set in the beautiful Essex countryside in the sought after village of Writtle, Chelmsford, this project was focused on the developer’s own home within the development of a total of 6 new houses. With unobstructed views of the countryside, all properties were built to the highest standards in every respect and our mission was to create an effortless interior that reflected the quality and design workmanship throughout, together with contemporary detailing and luxury.
A soothing neutral palette throughout with tactile wall finishes, soft textures and layers, provided the backdrop to a calming interior scheme. The perfect mix of woven linens, flat velvets, bold accessories and soft colouring, is beautifully tailored to our clients needs and tastes, creating a calm, contemporary oasis that best suited the client’s lifestyle and requirements.
Balance Interior DesignPops of fun were added to this project through coloured geometric floor tiles and a soft pink vanity unit.
Absolute Project ManagementEfficient use of the space has been ensured during the design phase for an ergonomic use. New white bathroom units are shining in the area, allowing a clean and smart look. The overflow of the floor tiles to the side of the bathtub looks refreshing. Chrome Samuel Heath tap-ware has added a beautiful touch to the space fitting beautifully with the white units. Mon Concept Habitation - LondonThe kitchen is appreciated for its fresh, bright look, achieved with olive-green cupboard fronts that contrast with the white marble effect worktops and splashback. The adjacent dining area is airy yet ultra-cosy. The empty space above the existing boiler has been used to install an adjustable shelf system that serves as Romeo's playground.

Simpson & VoyleThe ultimate powder room. A celebration of beautiful materials, we keep the colours very restrained as the flooring is such an eyecatcher. But the space is both luxurious and dramatic. The bespoke marble floating vanity unit, with functional storage, is both functional and beautiful. The full-height mirror opens the space, adding height and drama. the brushed brass tap gives a sense of luxury and compliments the simple Murano glass pendant.
H. Miller BrosOur design process is set up to tease out what is unique about a project and a client so that we can create something peculiar to them. When we first went to see this client, we noticed that they used their fridge as a kind of notice board to put up pictures by the kids, reminders, lists, cards etc… with magnets onto the metal face of the old fridge. In their new kitchen they wanted integrated appliances and for things to be neat, but we felt these drawings and cards needed a place to be celebrated and we proposed a cork panel integrated into the cabinet fronts… the idea developed into a full band of cork, stained black to match the black front of the oven, to bind design together. It also acts as a bit of a sound absorber (important when you have 3yr old twins!) and sits over the splash back so that there is a lot of space to curate an evolving backdrop of things you might pin to it.
In this design, we wanted to design the island as big table in the middle of the room. The thing about thinking of an island like a piece of furniture in this way is that it allows light and views through and around; it all helps the island feel more delicate and elegant… and the room less taken up by island. The frame is made from solid oak and we stained it black to balance the composition with the stained cork.
The sink run is a set of floating drawers that project from the wall and the flooring continues under them - this is important because again, it makes the room feel more spacious. The full height cabinets are purposefully a calm, matt off white. We used Farrow and Ball ’School house white’… because its our favourite ‘white’ of course! All of the whitegoods are integrated into this full height run: oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a gigantic pantry cupboard.
A sweet detail is the hand turned cabinet door knobs - The clients are music lovers and the knobs are enlarged versions of the volume knob from a 1970s record player.

The team behind the teamwork of this masterpiece in Oxshott, Surrey, are Raine Garden Design Ltd, Bushy Business Ltd, Hampshire Garden Lighting, and Forest Eyes Photography. Everywhere you look, some new artful detail demonstrating their collective expertise hits you. The beautiful and tasteful selection of materials. The very mature, regimented pleached beech hedge. The harmoniousness of the zoning; tidy yet so varied and interesting. The ancient olive, dating back to the reign of Victoria. The warmth and depth afforded by the layered lighting. The seamless extension of the Home from inside to out; because in this dream, the garden is Home as much as the house is.
Chiltern Garden DesignUnder a fully automated bio-climatic pergola, a dining area and outdoor kitchen have been created on a raised composite deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with SubZero Wolf appliances, outdoor pizza oven, warming drawer, barbecue and sink, with a granite worktop. Heaters and screens help to keep the party going into the evening, as well as lights incorporated into the pergola, whose slats can open and close electronically. A decorative screen creates an enhanced backdrop and ties into the pattern on the 'decorative rug' around the firebowl.
