I would suggest white cabinets with a dark grey Caesarstone counter. The splashback will be the variable with lots of options. This scheme is a lighter and more neutral alternative to the masculine dark grey. Both are great! Good luck, Mary

Hi Maria. It's a lovely kitchen and I must admit I like the white so would probably change the accessories. I would add a huge sunburst clock or mirror above the cabinets (can't work out if it's a clock or mirror above the fire). Add a statement light over the table. Try a coloured splashback behind the cabinets. Add some coloured stools. I would say paint the kitchen chairs but I can see they are good quality! If you do want to paint then either blues, violets or even a very soft grey if you add some coloured accesories. Do make sure the colour blends with the lounge though as you can obviously see through.

Kitchen is actually not a bad size, considering that you have the dining room and that it is the size of some modern kitchen diners. I think some of your cabinets are retro in a good way, maybe not the three quarter height one but the uppers and sliders under the sink are interesting. Could you see them in 50s retro mint green with olive walls or say duck egg blue units and walls and hints of pink or red here and there in the kitchen? You could have them resurfaced by an auto paint company in any colour you like. At the very least don't rip them out and skip them, somebody will love them, they are very in in certain circles.

Hi all..by chance i found this site and have received great advise. So thank you. Recently bought a 2 bed terrace. The kitchen was never updated and is quite the eyesore ! Im looking to carry out a complete revamp. I'm at a loss as to how to make best use of the space. It's the one space I like to spend time in.. no kids so not a consideration. I will attach some measurements and photos. I would love to get some views/opinions from you. Unfortunately I just don't have a great eye for this . It is a compact size I guess. Dining will be in kitchen also. I'm not too bother about separate table. Love the idea of breakfast bar/small island/ galley style but I'm not sure if space allows. Ideally I'd like to extend out the back garden but it's just too expensive. Moving rads.. knocking internal walls etc are all things I'd def consider All ideas welcome.
