Kitchen/Dining design help needed

I have recently purchased a 1960's bungalow. The whole house requires renovation. I am struggling to come up with ideas for kitchen and dining area. Kitchen is only 8 ft 4 x 12 ft 9, dining area is 9 ft 5 x 12 ft. Some photos of the rooms. Any ideas would be appreciated

I would knock down the Dividing wall from kitchen to dining room and making it one room .

I would ordinarily recommend that you don't mix cream/ivory with white as they can often clash, but you have pulled it off with the worktops! bringing in more white in the form of the glossy table will only enhance the look you have already created. the only other option would be a glass table with white chairs or stick with the accent colour of subtle grey for the chairs.

Kitchen is actually not a bad size, considering that you have the dining room and that it is the size of some modern kitchen diners. I think some of your cabinets are retro in a good way, maybe not the three quarter height one but the uppers and sliders under the sink are interesting. Could you see them in 50s retro mint green with olive walls or say duck egg blue units and walls and hints of pink or red here and there in the kitchen? You could have them resurfaced by an auto paint company in any colour you like. At the very least don't rip them out and skip them, somebody will love them, they are very in in certain circles.

The kitchen is a lovely space and really retro , definitely a bright colour will work well .. I think some open shelving would work well , open the space up a bit ..
