French door surround colour

Hi, i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what colour to paint this door surround? Or should i just stick with white?

The material is just MDF, and i was thinking about matching the colour of the clock, whch is like a midenight blue colour…

I think I would paint the woodwork white but it you like the clock paint the wall to match and paint a circular border around the clock to give it more prominence. And obviously position there clock at eye level

Agree with Jonathan, the clock is too high on the wall. Why not paint a bit of white and a bit of blue around the door and see which you prefer. My instinct says white but you never know, the midnight blue might look amazing.

I have just had a dark north facing narrow entrance hall painted in Great White (F&B) and the inside of a stained glass hall door painted Lace Glove (Colourtrend) . I do not like the effect of the 'ice white' look from the Great White around the door and have now asked the painter to paint just that area with a deeper pink colour (Romance by Fleetwood) to match one of the colours in the stained glass. I now think it looks too pink! Another sample pot which I haven't used but very similar colour is Cinder Rose (F&B). Any suggestions as to what would warm up the area surrounding the hall door? need some colour tips. I tried matching the two french doors in the living room to the ral black we have on the internal screen. The original colour on the French doors was off white . Should I paint it back or keep the black on the French doors ?

Would suggest white! A warm white like wimbourne white. All of the most beautiful rooms in my house are painted white! Then add in some wall art and some plants.

White woodwork. And if you love that blue, paint it on the wall around the doors.

Quite unusual to have such a big wooden surround around white French doors (pvc?). I would paint them the same as whatever wall colour you will be using, or white, which would fit in with the white doors.
