We want to do an extension to achieve a large kitchen/ dining area with room for a seating/ tv area too. We initially thought we would extend maybe 3 metres out the back but now wondering if we could knock through to the existing utility and build a new utility area at the side. I’ve marked in green where a new utility could be built, and red where walls would be knocked through (wc is already removed and currently used as a boot room). This would give us a fairly long narrow space for the kitchen/ diner though - approx 7.2m x 3.7m. Is this too awkward a size? Would love to see if anyone else has a kitchen diner close to these measurements! The existing dining room will be used as a study/ guest room.
