We are wanting a budget friendly flooring option for our kitchen for now as we will eventually be extending. Thinking vinyl stick on tiles? (We aren't getting new units etc so thinking that may be easiest/cheapish option). Any recommendations for places to buy / brands?
When we moved into our current home, we took up the ancient orange bathroom carpet tiles & used cheap wood-effect stick on vinyl tiles from Homebase. I think they were in a value range & they did the job while we were waiting to renovate. This was 8 years ago but I’ve just had a look at their website & they do various colours in adhesive vinyl tiles. Another option is sheet vinyl from a carpet / flooring stockists- you may even find an off cut or roll end at reduced price although you’d need to factor in fitting costs.
Fast becoming one of our most popular flooring choices, you may want to consider an altenative Vinyl to stick down. Which is durable and useable for extending into the new extension when its completed.
SPC Vinyl Tile comes in a 'Click' Plank or Herringbone, it combines limestones and stabilisers to create a very durable core. You also dont lose the traditional benefits of Vinyl either, with it still being stain, water and scratch proof.
We’d recommend SPC vinyl if you want something practical and durable with built in underlay.
Comes in a variety of styles please see imagines below.
