Vaulted roof lighting in snug

Hi trying to decide on lighting for our vaulted snug. Facing wall will be a media unit. One idea was to use spotlights pointing upwards to the ceiling and avoiding down lighters in the ceiling. Another idea was LED strip in some type of coving on the RHS and LHS part. Any suggestions and examples would be appreciated.

Spotlights looking upwards are definitely a good idea, it is important that the lighting does not dazzle the eyes. Concealed LED lighting is also a good option.

OracDecor has specially designed profiles, I have used this one for a very good effect.

It would also be important to think about the dimming option.

If you decide to put LED lighting, then the following can be used as decorative luminaires for sloping ceilings to make the room look more cozy.

Hi elina. Thanks for this. Was the led enough light? If spotlights are used would you suggest track spotlights e.g 2m facing upwards or 3-4 individual spotlights spread across the top of the wall on each side.

Here are a few different ways to have track lighting in kitchens with vaulted ceilings: I especially like the ones that mount the tracks to the beams, like "Magnolia contemporary kitchen" and "Green remodel," but as you see, there are many different ideas. Hope this helps!

Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? I love the cabin in the woods, its a intimate setting where you are drawn to the outside whilst keeping snug indoors. The use of fabrics sets it apart from the usual cold designs of other modern rooms. The attention detail in the selection of furniture pieces keeps it modern yet functional.

For LEDs it all depends on how you apply the strip and how much Watts per meter. In this case, a project should be developed and light volume calculations performed. If you stay with the spot lights then you can put them on the rail, it would be even wiser because you can always add extra lights to the rail if it is needed. In any case, if you are interested in developing a lighting project, I would be happy to prepare it for you.

You could also have lots of 3amp sockets added (all linked to a light switch) so that you can switch on table lamps or standard lamps easily
