Your room size looks great either way! You have done a good job with your floor plan!

I would suggest you have a well organized kitchen triangle (refrigerator, stove and sink close to each other) so you can work well when using the space. The wall from E to J, I would leave it empty for now and look for a lovely wall art (to fill the space, so I would go for a big print0 at some point later in your project.

I would keep the dishwasher in square D (next to square C), and the other kitchen unit (the one next to square E) leave it empty for some decoration or coffee machine or any other small appliance.

Oven and microwave are nice in tall units, ideally one o top of the other or next to each other, but this really depends on you and how you use the space (for example if you cook many recipes that require oven, or if you wish to have them hidden under the kitchen island).

I could stay here and working on this kitchen/dining layout for ever, the layout options are endless and really depend on you and your daily routine in the kitchen.

Ooh lots of decisions.

Firstly, lets work out what space you need to leave for moving around, this will then guide you on the space available to play with.

You've done a great job and are so nearly there. What would unlock your design is remembering that you could continue the kitchen units along from the sink, just not have them as working units. It could be nice to continue the units right along the wall but change the feel of them to create a sort of dresser/ display/ additional storage.

The dishwasher needs to go near to the crockery cupboard which is in turn, near to the dining table for easy laying up. Having it on the end (LH side of the sink) looks good because you can really easily reach it after a meal. Perhaps the crockery drawers are on the island facing the dining table? The bin is also handy to have by the sink and dishwasher and creates symmetry either side of the sink.

With the extra storage on the sink wall, you can now play with the remaining space, the hob is a little cramped but with the dresser, you've got space to move the storage around to give it a bit of breathing space.

The options are endless but to me it looks a bit tight. Square B needs a corner post so one side will be 700mm if I remember correctly. I don't think you have space for 3 stools at your island. The dining table only 600mm from the wall is impractical. Spices are best kept in the dark. Also think about pan drawers rather than cupboards. They are most cost effective at 1000mm wide. Personally I think I would go for a big kitchen table or a much larger island with seating not trying to squeeze in two small items.

Have you considered banquette seating in an L shape from E- J and along the other wall. You could run continuous from the kitchen units. Would make that area flow a bit better I think. 110 between the units and island is standard but, if more than 1 is cooking consider 130. We have this on one side of our island and 110 on the other. The 130 is so much more comfortable when I have a helper! I would put the dishwasher to left of sink and have crockery beside for ease of access. How about a spice drawer. Much handier than trying to find things in a cupboard. You can just about put in 3 stools but it would be very snug.for your island, consider using drawers rather than cupboards to improve access.

Now we are looking at he whole open plan, zones within the open plan living 9 in total around 45 sq.m)L
