Storage down side of house?

hi,
I feel like this is a wasted space. Any ideas for waterproof storage here? I wanted a lean to shed but it is too narrow. I've been quoted £1300 for a bespoke made (which he can't do until October!)
Does anyone have a solution they could show me photos of please? space is only 90cm wide.

We built one a few years ago at a friend house. It was a DIY job and we used the existing fence as the "wall" so materials only cost a couple of hundred pounds including the guttering.

I can't get a picture as my friend is abroad but it was very similar to this...

thank you. it's the neighbours fence so we probably need to avoid actually attaching to it unfortunately.

that's a really helpful picture though, thanks for your reply.

HI -- gross635 -- Your right to some degree but you can't move the main floor bath to the other side because then that interfers with the floor plan on the second floor. Would not work . I would have loved to turn the whole plan around but it won't work in this case. Added note to what I posted before is to get rid of anywalls you don't need and also not every room has to have a door. Like the one on the lounge and the one at the end of the hall. I would open the lounge up by not having the walls on the entrance hall . As for a closet , there is space in front of the set back powder room for some coat hooks etc. I also question the fact of , if the lounge is really needed. Everything could have been shifted to the front and the kitchen set back , then that would have made a larger dining/familyroom area . But that would have ruined the resale value . So I think moving the bathrooms was the lest and best for this plan. One question I have , is this an English plan ?, because the English love putting doors on every room ?And usually the doors swing the wrong way.

How will you pose for your Miss Photogenic photo op? Will you go with the Carmen Miranda fruit bowl tiara? Or would the Easter egg thingamadooeys suffice? Decisions, decisions..... Maybe Grover could photo shop each one with your dress so we can decide? We wouldn't want to break any decorating rules because we do have our reputations to uphold. LOLOLOLOLOL

sorry haven't been on here much and havent had time or money to much about my room but should be getting to work in the next few weeks/month. I've added some more photos to give a better idea of the layout of the room and the dimensions. the first one is a view from the bed or the foot of the bed, so you can see the wall space isn't massive. The horrible curtains are waiting to be changed when I get all the work done! The second photo is the other wall to show where the door to the room is. Carolyn the wardrobe in the photo there is the one I'm going to put in the nook and then I was thinking of getting a carpenter to build shelving on the wall where the wardrobe currently is. Around the bed then would be more storage and shelves either side to act as bedside tables. As anyone any ideas for the type of shelving I should be looking to get built? I would be looking to hold - clothes that wouldn't be hanging like jumpers, t-shirts etc. I would definitely need an area for books/magazines, an area for toiletries and maybe then storage for items such as bed linen, blankets and random items like chargers for phones, laptops etc.

Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. Hi Ruth,

It wasn't actually attached to the fence. Like the one in the picture, it is supported by a wood beam that sits on columns. The neighbours didn't mind the guttering being on their side, but if yours do you could move the whole structure 150mm or so away from the fence.
