Runner or carpet for these stairs??
Comments (5)When I though you meant the carpet was for ground floor I would say no to runner, and leave stairs dark with white risers...but since the carpet is only upstairs on landing I think a runner would be nice visually and since it's expensive you would like to appreciate it / show it more. Wood stairs are just dusty no matter what, I've never had runners but all wood stairs and they are just dusty... i don't know that it will be less work, prob same amount of cleaning. Love the carpet, beautiful....See MoreStairs and landing ideas??
Comments (0)So I've ripped up the carpets from the stairs, landing and upstairs rooms. We have dogs and cats and the place was covered in hairs!! So should I just paint all the floor boards or should I put some kind of flooring down???...See Moreto paint or not to paint stairs

Started on the skirtings, architraves and doors downstairs in Dulux Satinwood Antique White over the last few days and I am starting to think the white stairs may clash with the cream & antique white...See Moreto paint or not to paint stairs

Does anyone else have this look and it looks really well (what colours did you use) or do you think I should follow through with just clear varnishing the spindles instead and darker varnish on the handrails and sides. Don't know which would look better??? Thanks for any advice....See More- 5 years ago
