To answer your question, all of our fabric options are actually very durable and cleanable and have been hand selected for home situations that include kids, pets, messy friends... you get the idea :) They're all polyester based meaning they're breathable and extremely resilient as well, overall.
When it comes to shedding, the one recommendation that seems to permeate is to avoid any fabrics with a VERY raised texture. Most of our fabric options have a shorter pile but some of them are a bit more textured and we would advise perhaps going a different route. One example of a more textured fabric is our Vintage Woven fabrics.
Even if you did fall in love with one of the raised texture fabrics, you'd probably be a-ok... just trying to highlight a minor difference in our fabric collection that might assist in making your final decision. Were there any fabrics in general that you had your eye on?
We also suggest the use of a velvet for homes with pets. They are super cleanable and durable for homes with dogs who shed, AND, there is not exposed weave for kitty claws and paws to get stuck in ;)
If you have any other thoughts or questions along the way, please let us know and we'd be more than happy to assist you! Anything else I can help with?
