Do you think these colours suit?
Comments (4)There's alot of warm tones there. I agree white cabinets would look great. I'd consider white walls too. From there you could accent with almost any color you like....See MoreFireplace dilemma?
Comments (21)I agree with victoriabunglowranch, scrub it and repaint in one of the colours of the piece, I'd personally head towards dark and moody colours for walls, with crisp white ceilings, how about wrapping the chimney in smokey mirror in same shade that you paint the wall, I agree floor is very busy, would like to see a large rug here to keep the focus on the fireplace and I'd keep the "mantle area" free from objects, the fire place is enough, art work on side walls and floral pieces on coffee tables or buffets, I'd also choose luxe furniture and fabrics in one of the lighter shades shown in the fireplace, perhaps with a slight leaning towards art deco in some pieces and then spice up with accent cushions, art, lamps and lighting. Art Deco can carry contemporary pieces too, be brave here this could be a very special room with it's own personality and with care it will still link to the other areas of the house....See MoreWallpaper or Paint??
Comments (5)Sinead, I'm not too sure what colour you're going for on main walls...? will your selves be white? black/charcoal would have impact here so keep all walls same colour! What storage do you have in the room? You could have bench/box seat in same colour as shelves and fabric on top in complimentary colour (e.g., same as cushions!) on RHS with picture over it!! In my house they were traditionally called "toy boxes"!...See MoreColour scheme!
Comments (0)Hello! We bought a house with a wonderful extension that is full of French windows and light every time of the day and I’m having a hard time finding a scheme for it also because of its wooden ceilings and brick fireplace! It used to be super cozy and old fashion and after living in it for a while I painted the walls Priory Blue and Vintage Grey but still can’t decide whether white or anything else would have been a better choice! Here are a few pictures if anyone likes to have a look, thanks for your advice!...See MoreTricky T
