Do you think these colours suit?

We are moving into a new house soon,all going well,and I'm trying to get a start on some ideas for redecorating the living space.
I've attached the dining space of the house. The kitchen is through the arch.
After some discussion on here it was suggested to leave the red brick exposed. I wanted to paint it. But if I was to leave it exposed could I do the following?
Change tiles to a dark wood
Paint walls a light grey.
Paint cabinet and kitchen cabinets white leaving the black granite counter top. Do you think that would work?
