3metre or 4 metre wide sliders for extension?

We’re extending house at the back. We’re tight on budget. We were going to use existing cream sliding door and add 1 more panel making it 3metres wide. This leaves 1500 mm wall on either side and add triangle window on top .
Should we push budget out to get 4 metres with matching triangle on top. It’s extra 3k. Hubble doesn’t think it will make too much difference for that money. Opinions appreciated.

Hi, you have a lovely home! I read through your thread, and I like Dar Eckarts suggestion above the best. I think because of the symmetry of it as an H shaped house is symmetrical, and it would also keep the space looking decorated but still open and uncluttered which is what an entrance should be. Sorry, but I don't care for the bookcase idea in an entrance. I also noticed the masks you have, and think it would be great to decorate the space using them as inspiration. Here is a photo to show you the kind of rug I think would work here.

Hi Diane. I must admit I may be tempted to look at french doors then.You could have wide doors with glazed panels either side to let the light in. I think they'll open up wider than a patio door ( but jonathan may correct me:) !)
