Hello, I have a similar layout with a large corner tub near flanking windows. I love what you did in your "after" photos. I'm curious, though, where was the toilet position in the "before" bathroom? Did the remodel need to have the toilet stack moved, too? I've heard to avoid moving plumbing as much as possible and especially the toilet.
Hi! We did not move the toilet. It was “behind” me in the photo. It had its own toilet “room”. We only moved the shower plumbing and 1 sink plumbing. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your reply. I will be hiring a space-planner/bathroom designer to see if there is any way to alter my floor plan so I can still have a (smaller) tub, but a larger shower without too much disruption to plumbing locations. Unfortunately, my current shower is next to the tub where the blue dog bowl is in your photo. Our toilet "room" is just to the right of our shower, so the doorway to the toilet room's opening is right in line with our narrow shower (it's width). Widening my shower will require moving the doorway over which then changes the size and doorway to our walk-in closet. Lots to figure out. My bathroom looks to be the exact same build/design year as your client's "before" bathroom. Wish it were just a case of resurfacing and updating--always an option to just do that, of course.
