Although your room does have large windows and plenty of natural light, I would still sway towards a light neutral colour scheme for the majority of the room.
I see you have Navy in your Kitchen, this on your chimney breast would be a great feature and help with your flow through your ground floor. Farrow and Ball, 'Hauge' is a very sophisticated feature colour, along with 'Cornforth White' to neighboring walls.

Thanks Kerry, I do like the cornforth colour and was thinking that line of colour for the majority of the walls. A friend suggested adding a mustard colour to the chimney breast to reflect the curtains. This idea completely confused me - any thoughts?
Are the curtains staying? If so It would be nice to choose one of the colours from the many within the curtains as an accessory and chimney breast colour. However, Colours like Yellow can be quite overwhelming so personally, I'd sway toward the 'Hauge' Blue as this works well with the 'Mustard' Yellow (from your curtains).
