i love this house and woyld lile to know if i can get the plans for this house.

HI -- gross635 -- Your right to some degree but you can't move the main floor bath to the other side because then that interfers with the floor plan on the second floor. Would not work . I would have loved to turn the whole plan around but it won't work in this case. Added note to what I posted before is to get rid of anywalls you don't need and also not every room has to have a door. Like the one on the lounge and the one at the end of the hall. I would open the lounge up by not having the walls on the entrance hall . As for a closet , there is space in front of the set back powder room for some coat hooks etc. I also question the fact of , if the lounge is really needed. Everything could have been shifted to the front and the kitchen set back , then that would have made a larger dining/familyroom area . But that would have ruined the resale value . So I think moving the bathrooms was the lest and best for this plan. One question I have , is this an English plan ?, because the English love putting doors on every room ?And usually the doors swing the wrong way.

I can't tell if this is one residence, or several. I'm assuming this is attached to neighbors on both sides and that it is directly on a quiet lane. I would clean up the planter in front. It looks a little scruffy and lopsided. Some color (flowers or leaf color) would be very nice. Maybe even add color using some pots in the planter, but make sure they all go well together, not every color in the rainbow. Indoors, remember comfort. Sometimes people choose seating that looks really good, but is very uncomfortable. Will you also be having friends over and want to use the space for small, intimate gatherings? Do you think you might eat light meals out there? Furniture choices depend on so many things. A soft cream or seafoam color for the walls, not overwhelming. All that white seems a bit stark and cold from outside. It appears the street and neighbors are very close by, therefore I would stay soft and subtle with any colors so as to not overwhelm or offend the neighbors. What is that stuff on the walls or hanging from the ceiling, I can't tell? It looks haphazard. A sideboard with plants sitting on it is always nice in a sunroom. Ultimately you have to see yourself in the space and how YOU want to enjoy it! Here's how I see myself using the space: A nice comfy chair that I can curl up in. A small side table for my cup of tea. An ottoman so I can stretch my legs out, doubles as a coffee table when I set a tray on it. A sideboard table for plants to sit on, orchids maybe, violets too if the sun is right. A nice throw, because I will sit out there in all weather, read a book, fall asleep sometimes. For you, if you may eat some breakfast out there, a bistro table may be the way to go. We all have to be in touch with what makes us happy. Hopefully you will post your after pictures as well. That would be fun to see!

Yes, I would and did start with cabinets. Browse through he kitchen photos here on Houzz until you determine your favorite styles. Start a kitchen idea book and save every photo that has something you like, cabinets will be your biggest investment. Once you know your style, begin thinking about counter tops and backsplash. One or the other will be your "star." If you already have a favorite, try to coordinate other choices with it. For example, I found my backsplash first, then chose the counter to go with it. Often people have their counter in first then struggle to find a backsplash. If you fall in love with a beautiful, busy granite you will want a simple backsplash. My floor was last, keeping it simple to avoid clashing with other choices. Good luck and have fun! This can be an overwhelming project but your friends at Houzz can help!

It makes me cross that people think they have a right to make some quite negative comments on this post. Masmccar76 put these photos on because she thought people would like to see a genuinely lovely transformation of her garden. Instead there have been some downright nasty comments. By all means make comments but keep them constructive. Houzz is all about is sharing ideas, not about being nasty
