Where did the doors come from in the attic bathroom remodel? I love the finished product.

Hello. I'm sorry it's taken so long for my response; I just saw your inquiry.

The cabinetry is from Bertch Cabinet Manufacturing in Waterloo, Iowa;

The glass entrance door is a custom-sized door from Timbergate Interior Doors,

a division of Bertch Cabinet Manufacturing, Waterloo, Iowa.

The great thing about about having these two separate manufacturing capacities

under the same roof is that I am assured of matching finishes if i order cabinets and interior doors in the same color.

Tastes change with time - and fashion promotes the latest trends so that eventually what ever you choose could look dated... It's what keeps business going - so maybe only tile where it's needed... Personally, if I were choosing for myself, I'd choose plain white in the largest tile with absolute minimum grout as I hate when the grout looks old / grubby as always happens . Then I'd add colour with towels that could be changed to give a different feel when I fancied a change if you see what I mean ! That's my taste - yours could be totally different ! There's loads of beautiful pics on Houzz - best idea is to do a bathroom search and see what appeals to you ! Then think is it practical ? Can I afford it ? Will it suit the house ! If you are doing the floor too - adding underfloor heating is a lovely way to keep an ambient temperature and- let's face it - it's kinder on bare feet too !!

Hello nicnoll, Another idea could be to have a wall light that is all about the bulb! A few links to both ideas.... Copper is good too... One other idea... have a rose with multi flex wires... centralised where the current one is.. Then choosing cable/flex and lengths.. run them along to where you want.. either along ceiling.. in loops with hooks to loop round and fix position, so then excess becomes a drop pendant to add something lovely.... Or you run them in loops across the ceiling to the opposite wall and have a wall light fitting but the electric cable comes from the one ceiling point. So less to do wiring wise.. Hi there, I am starting to plan a renovation for my house. This is so far outside of my comfort zone, I already feel rather stressed just thinking about it. What is the best way to plan it & budget it? Are there any idiot renovation processes I can follow? Specifically I'm looking to do the following: - Convert attic - Re-do bathroom - Extend kitchen to meet dining room (there's a bit of a damp problem I think in the dining room walls) - Improve heating/insulation - Replace bay windows upstairs and downstairs - I'm not sure if the roof needs any work - Re-decorate whole place It's a mid-terrace house. Just a small list so! Ideally I would like to have a project manager but I don't think I can afford one. Any and all ideas/advice gratefully received! Thanks, Clodagh
