New veg patch

Hi,

Can I ask where you purchased the planters with separate sections? I'm hoping to grow different types of veg and due to a small garden can only do this in pots / planters.

For the time being (and this IS only a temporary fix) try using a water based penetrating sealer on the grout. I stress water based, because solvent based sealers today are made to be "breatheable", meaning they allow moisture to transmit back and forth, while the water based sealers will repel water. You still need to address this in a more permanent manner (the glass door is a good idea, but it wouldn't hurt to remove the bathroom floor tile, waterproof the floor, and install a new tile floor), but this will help until you can afford to do what you need to do.

Hi lots of different options and ideas going on. I had a similar wall and understand how mean it can be to little ones. I bought and put up the expanding wood trellis. This instantly covered the area at a very reasonable price. I then planted quick growing climbing plants. I'm not a great gardener so I cant remember what i had but ask at the garden centre they will advise you. But at least you have a barrier in place to minimize accidents.

I'm a huge fan of Farrow & Ball and their greys are lovely but if they're not working for you then why not try a different brand? The Paint Library Architectural range is very useful and they have a good range of greys in varying shades from I to V (I being the lightest) so you can use a III on the walls and I on the woodwork for a perfect tonal look. They're also grouped by undertone so they're really easy to use! Try Salt or Cotton perhaps? Zoffany also have some beautiful greys and have a similar shading system with some of their colours (quarter, half and double). In particular, I really love the Silver, Harbour Grey and Linen ranges.

Bumping this in the hope that someone might be able to help. The house is on a east-south-east - west-north-west direction, so we get the first patch of light in the bottom right hand corner, and the last of it on the patio in the evening. Id like a little seating area or something in that bottom right hand corner to go for a cuppa on a sunny morning. I was thinking of some sort of a living wall/trellis in front of the shed to screen it off, but not sure how this would look, or how to attach it to the shed
