I want help designing my bathroom

Hi, can anyone recommend a designer for a bathroom. Any of the designers I've googled seem to have no pictures of bathrooms they've designed and I would like to see previous work as I don't want to end up with a study in sand and beige, which seems to be the fashion these days.

We are lucky enough to have a pretty big bathroom so I want it to be bright and airy. Attached is a rough sketch of what I am thinking for the layout. It would be a wetroom, so a shower in the bottom left hand corner. It has to be here as the room is in a dormer and slopes downward towards the back wall where the toilet is. So there would be a screen between the shower and the free standing bath. Then the toilet and the sink. I like the style in the photos attached.

Mary, I am very glad to hear from you. I think of you often. It hurt me terribly when that unthoughtful person said what she said. I can only imagine how it must have hurt you. I would love to see how you have decorated for Christmas. I am almost certain there are differences between how our 2 countries do it. My understanding: You didn't find any problem functionally, but you feel this looks old & need some brightness & change in this. My advise: 1). Remove towel rod, shift it next to tub or behind closet & have full length mirror, which will make your space double & reflect natural light as well thus makes the space more bright. 2). Get couple of plants (small plants or bush type or creepers which doesn't occupy much space on floor but grows vertically). 3). Get some artifacts made from bright colored glass, can flower vase or wall hangings or glass tiles etc, these can be of yellow or Bright Orange color these are to be hung on walls opp to mirror or pasted(3M tape both side glued) if you are using tiles. 4). Get a mat of same color as artifacts & place between tub & closet. these all are easily done by yourself. OR if you can afford to then replace only green tiles & floor tiles if you wish to OR all tiles.

Hello Edel, Well you are in the fortunate place having a loo and shower downstairs.. I am sure this might become useful when the boys are older.. So if you wanted more wardrobe space.. This doesn't have to involve wall to wall cupboards.. You could have free standing wardrobes.. A bigger bathroom would mean you could have double wall hung sinks and large walk in shower and a separate bath.. Wall hung loo as well.. Or possibly you could create a wet room style shower and loo and separate walk in closet.. accessed from your bedroom. Keep a bathroom next door.. Hard to tell if any of these ideas could work without a plan.. : ))
