how did you manage the transition, where the wall changes past the sink? In other words, there is a glass seam that is "exposed" where the wall came out (toward a person standing at the sink) and then turned a 90degree angle. How do you handle those seams? Does the glass edge have a slightly different color? Any issue with the seam?

Thankyou for your question, no issues at all. The Glass was painted and I used very skilled tradespeople to install. The seam is on the side, so if standing at the sink you don't see it, the panel of glass on the wall after the sink goes from end to end, it doesn't but up to the edge of the tiny glass side panel. It's very discreet. Hope that answers your question.

Hi snan - to address your questions: 1 - yes, the lamps work very well. With regard to the height of the larger lamps: do you know how high they would be? If the bottom of the lampshade is even with the top of the pillows that should work. If they are taller than that I think you will be okay with the smaller lamps. Look back again at some of the pictures above to see what I mean. The thing that will look odd would be if the top of the lamps were taller than your headboard. The idea is that when you are in bed reading a book that you want the light to be able to reflect down. As far as the lampshade size goes on the smaller lamps I'm thinking the shorter ones since they don't seem to drop down as far as the larger ones. 2 & 3-Definitely chair by the mirrored bedside locker with one white locker on the other side. Without question. The chair to the left of the bed gave the room life. Use the extra white one in a closet or another room. You don't want to overcrowd your room when you are going for a tranquil setting. 4-Absolutely okay to have bedside tables that don't match and look good in the room. Whether or not you like that is a personal preference though. I would only put the mirrored one next to the bed though if you have the chair next to it. It's how they play off each other that makes it work. If you don't keep the chair next to the bed then I would use both white tables beside the bed. It is also fine that the pictures are off-centre to the wall as long as they are centered to the bed. :)

What I'm actually wondering though is about mixing the metals - so having the chandelier and lamps with the touch of silver - or would I be better to source antique brass lamps like I have in some other rooms in the house - I kind of wanted to feature quite a bit of glass, and generally the glass comes with chrome, but I'm not sure if it's too modern for the sideboard etc, and mores worried about the clash of metals, but something tells me it might be ok in this instance! I have chrome taps and rainfall shower head in new bathroom and kept with antique brass for the light fittings and door/press knobs. Also yes the room is small but that's not an issue - it is what it is and I'm fine with it!

Hoping someone might have some advice. We are installing a climbing frame swing set combination at the moment. We have excavated an area of the lawn and will fill it up level with bark mulch. I understand we must anchor the set first before filling with mulch. My question is how then to prevent the base of the slide becoming buried in the mulch as it will have been installed at the lower level?

Hello there Houzz community! I am an interior decorator and creative consultant, and I am currently working with a client to build out her dream 18th century french inspired home (based in Brooklyn). In one of the bedrooms, she is envisioning a tent-style installation with draped walls and tented ceiling (see references attached above). My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on what type of vendor would be best for this job? Right now I am finding a mix of people that do drapes, and people that do event-centered draping for weddings and such.
