Range Cooker Help

Hi,

Hoping that someone might be able to give me some advice.

We're buying a new house - the owners had a 120cm wide range cooker (not included). I'd been looking at RangeMasters but the max width they come in is 110cm wide. Ranges at the 120cm wide seem to be much more expensive and while I've no doubt that they're really good, RangeMasters are as much as we can really afford to spend at this point.

Does anyone know if it will look terrible/ok if I just install a 110cm cooker in the 120cm slot? Or if there's anything I could do to fill the gap?

Are there any good quality 120cm wide range cookers at the 2k price mark? I'd consider buying a second hand range cooker but not sure whether this is a good idea or what to look for?

Would really appreciate any advice!

The long black one is the back garden door way.The smaller one on the same wall is the door way leading to extension;s corridor. The black square at the front is the door way to enter the room. You can stay neutral but use different textures in the tiles. Glass mixed with ceramic or marble is good. I would put tile on the entire backsplash and make a great accent piece over the range. Change up the patterns also. It will add interest without adding too much color. If you want to be bolder, chose one or two colors in the tiles that you can live with or that you have in the rest of the house. That will pull your color scheme into the kitchen and make a cohesive look as you go throughout the house.

When we brought our house it had parquet in the kitchen, Before weIt has made had an opportunity to seal it our dishwasher flooded & they poped up. I recommend that u carefully research using it in a wet area before committing to it.

Sorry I overlooked your question about the island. I don't know if it should be a contrasting colour because as I see it, the main feature of your kitchen is the gorgeous range. If you paint the island to match it, then the range will lose its impact. If it were my kitchen, I'd match the island to the other cabinets. If you were starting over, you could have had it made in stained wood, but with it already existing it requires a painted finish.
