Need help with bare living room
Comments (6)I would suggest you get some large, leafy green plants in large pots and put one on each side of the fireplace. You also might place a large mirror, framed in silvertone metal, on the wall next to the fireplace and behind the large plant I suggested. The green will bring color, life, and air into the room and will contrast with the dark furniture and the light neutral walls....See MoreAdvice for sunroom: curtains? Blinds? Curtain rail or track??
Comments (8)What color are the walls? Green, beige, gray? What color are the floors and couches? Is the rug staying? What style of artwork will you be putting up? Color, black and white, family pics, large or small? All this info would make it infinitly easier to make suggestions. : )...See MoreNeighbours extension wall
Comments (19)The rules may have changed but when we built our extension the wall adjoining our neighbour had to be completely within our own boundary. It looks as if your neighbour has continued along the party wall and therefore half the depth of the wall is on your land. It might be worth getting a chartered building surveyor to check it out as otherwise it may cause difficulties when either you or your neighbour come to sell. If I'm wrong about this maybe a professional on here could correct me. Other than that I think you should make the best of the little private courtyard it has afforded you by using plants in pots and climbers to soften the wall....See MoreExterior House Help Required
Comments (3)Hello Cork2015, Looking like a very tidy home... I like the black on brick and its lovely to have a difference in texture that the brick offers, rather than all render which would not be as appealing I feel.....What about considering painting the window sill on the ground level black, this will blend nicely with the sliding doors.. The eye is not drawn to it either... Then you might want to add some plants in large pots... 2 square metal planters with something nice in could be lovely either side of the sliding doors.. possibly two pots under the window too... They work in a variety of settings not just period homes.. Have a look at these ideas.. : )) A line along the aggregate could be lovely... 2 more either side of the sliding doors and two under the window... Lovely and easy! 2 either side of the front door down the side... (if less light they could be artificial there)...See MoreLesleyH
