Kitchen designer

Good morning, I'm keen to have a kitchen in our renovation with pocket doors but am finding it hard to find to find a design with doors that recess completely. Can I ask where the kitchen in the Pavilion House come from?

I'm assuming by the door handings that you are left handed ? The microwave is a little low - for comfort if it was at the top of that cabinet it would be a bit easier on your back. In order to create an island you'd need to leave sufficient room to not only walk around, but also to allow you to crouch down in front of the cooker too - so I think the way you have it looks as though it offers a better option. Have you considered/ allowed for adding appliances for dish washing and laundry too ?! Is one of the tall cabinets an integrated FF ?

@Norwood Architects took the words right out of my mouth. I too would not do the open shelves on the base cabinets with the clipped corner. Looks like you are going for a more modern kitchen and those don't fit the updated style I see here. As far as the double ovens, I would move them to the left one spot so they sit next to the first set of cabinets. I would also remove the last upper cabinet (on the right) and extend the open shelving. The shelves look dwarfed as they are now by the large wall of cabinets. Hopefully, removing a bank of upper cabinet and extending the shelves will help balance the proportions. I would also eliminate the shelves on the island too, but that's just more of a personal preference ;) Looks like it's going to be a gorgeous kitchen!

All, Looking for advice from those who work in Kitchen Design. I recently finished my studies and am qualified Interior Designer (Higher Diploma BTEC). I am currently working at Kitchen Design Showroom. I was hired specifically do 3D Kitchen Renders / Presentation Packs / Face to Face presentation of proposed design to clients etc. I really love kitchens design and even though I am qualified designer, my course emphasis was Commercial Design (Hospitality / Retail outlets). I feel I have a lot to learn in order to feel confident to design kitchens (logical next step). Can anyone recommend good go to resources for Kitchen Designers - books, links? Am I best off learning on the job or do people think it would be worth doing a follow on Diploma specifically in Kitchen Design? Thanks everyone!
