Desperately need to choose bathroom color to go with Aqua tile?

My main floor bathroom has a total identity crisis. Due to it being a windowless bathroom we chose a light blue (almost aqua) crackle wall tile and floor tile is white marble basketweave tile. The original gray glass subway tile looked green and we changed it on a whim to the blue. Now the half wall (which Is way too wide and high) stands out and I think we should've done 1/8 grout lines since the tile looks too modern. Do I try to match the paint to the wall tile or do a completely different color? I had wanted to do wainscoting to break it up but thought it really would give it an identity crisis and accentuate the half (prison wall) even more?

If you have photoshop, you can grab the RGB value of the color and then plug it into easyrgb.com for the closest colors to that value. I use it all the time for my work. Comments (20)I have to join this discussion of Hardwood in the kitchen. I am a little biased in this discussion because of being a tile contractor for almost 30 years. I have seen alot of hardwood kitchen floors. I have to give you the cons of putting hardwood in. Hardwood floors look great. As far as durability I am not sold. Hardwood floors look great when they are first put in. Depending on the traffic in the kitchen I give them about 4 to 5 years is when you see significant wear. I have seen alot of hardwood floors in kitchens with water damage. Now I know you think you wont have a leak from your dishwasher, refrigerator or a general plumbing leak. Well these things do happen and when it does the hardwood needs to be totally removed. Some times this is not so easy if the hardwood goes under the base cabinets. I am not saying do not put hardwood in the kitchen I think you should look at whats going to work for you. There are plenty of porcelain tiles that will give you the look of hardwood but give you the durability of a porcelain tile. Tile installed properly will last a long time. Hardwood will last but it will look warn to the point that it would need to be refinished at a cost around $2000.00 depending on the size of the room. I don't want to upset the hardwood floor lovers I have it all over my house except the bathrooms and kitchen. The floor is 20 years old 4 kids 2 dogs and still looks great. Comments (53)Thanks a mil! That's the thing about new colour. It does take some getting used to. However I had my babies room, a spare room and the inside of my front door painted at the same time last week and love all of the colours chosen but this one I just can't look at. It turned out to be more of a minty green than the colour samples on the wall. One of the fabrics below are being make up in a footstool and I think it may be overkill with too much colour. I wanted the coushions and footstool to pop as those are the things you spend the most amount of money on rather than the paint. In saying that. The cost of the paint was expensive and also paying someone to do it. Now to do it all over again is not ideal.:(. i took the cushions and fabric into one of my other rooms to see what it looked like against a more neutral background and felt it looked a little better. So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. 8 years agoThank you for the recommendations I will definitely try and get to a sherwin Williams. I was hoping for Benjamin Moore colors since I've been using it throughout the house.
It could be my lighting but even without it my house turns everything muddy or green. Attached is the pic of tile.
Would a chair rail work in this space (slightly darker on top and white on bottom) or would it just not look right?
