The drawer in question has 2 Rev-A-Shelf inserts and is extra deep and carefully measured to hold what you see. I believe we used a heavy duty slide also. Thank you for visiting and asking.

I'd put another set of sliding doors between the lounge and the playroom rather than a solid wall. Reason being is that it gives you more options. You get to sequester the mess and noise when you want and you still get a good flow later on when the kidlets aren't such mess monsters. I'd make both sets of sliding doors have full-length frosted glass inserts. That will let in the light. Or you could use shoji doors if that suits the decor better. From your plan, I'm assuming the house is semi-detached, so windows on the right wall aren't possible? Also, you might consider a pocket door from the hallway to the lounge and from the hallway to the utility room. That way you don't have to allow space for door swing.

cracks on plaster over insert stove

Hi there, I have a double sided insert stove. My problem is that the plaster on the wall over the fire on both sides cracks, even with all the fire proof options. Does anyone know if there is a heatproof wall paper that I could use over the fire place? Thanks is advance.

Hi Aisling, In my opinion the black insert is a much more contemporary look over the brass one. A lot of the current trends in fireplaces are linear black incerts. The black insert would also be easier to work with if in a couple of years you decided to change out the mirror or the curtin pole, you would not be tied to designing around the brass. I have attached two pictures below of a white fire place with a black insert and gold mirror and i think it works really nicely. Hope this helps :) Best, Emily
