Colleen, I am considering using Zuri decking. What is your experience with it's durability and customer satisfaction with the product?

It has a 25 year fade warranty. Great product and they stand behind it 100% Where are you located? My customers are all very satisfied!

We are in Southern, CT, Colleen. I know that Zuri is a virgin PVC product and my concern is the hazing/whitening that can happen from plastic or rubber products and certain chemicals that come in contact with it. Have you had any feedback about this. Also, last I knew, they did not have a complimentary wood toned handrail for use with their product. Had that changed, do you know? Yes, it does definitely react with rubber mats, rubber hoses, etc. It will get a whitish haze that can sometimes be reversed with the use of a heat gun if it is caught within 24 hours or so. There is also a reaction that can occur with aerosol products such as spray on sunscreen and bug spray. This will happen with just about all PVC decking, this includes azek decking, and some trex decking, I guess the tradeoff for the low maintenence of PVC is you have to buy a nylon mat instead of rubber and put your sun screen on in the grass ;-)

Really like the look of this PVC decking product. Is there anything similar for external cladding products? We live by the coast (salty air) and have been looking for highly durable products. We've used ipe on a small deck area but think the PVC option might be better for other areas - what's you thoughts?

This particular dock is under salt water in storm tides and it hasn't faded one bit. Lots of people use it for docks. It's also really grippy when wet, not slippery at all

Also, what about internal flooring. Do you recommend similar to the Zuri decking product for internal flooring? We have hard wood flooring in the kitchen however i don't think it's the best option as the kitchen gets a lot of traffic etc and tends not to wear well. We don't like the option of using tiles as it's such a hard surface therefore would be interested to know of any PVC products or something similar that has the look of wood but is harder wearing. Hmmm I'm not sure I don't really do interiors very often. The top coat on the Zuri is similar to prefinished flooring. Maybe try something commercial grade laminate? For sidewall look into Allura fiber cement siding made by Certainteed. Hardie Plank is a comparable product as well.

I noticed on your web site that you also sell Andersen Windows - are the a good choice for coastal areas?

Yes! They make impact resistant windows that we actually require by code here when you're on the water. They are pretty much the best windows you can buy I'd say. Depending on what series you go with, I'd recommend 400 or A series.

Go with the A series - especially if you want impact resistant!

In your Houzz responses, I understand the Zuri color here is 'Brasilia'. Your home is also featured on the Zuri website, however, and there they say this is 'Walnut'. The Brasilia seems much more red on the other homes showcased, whereas your home seems to have a softer deck color. Is your home actually 'Brasilia' and if so, does it appear quite red in reality?

I am sorry - you are right. That was the "Walnut" color. The Brasilia does have more red in it
