Shutters are fantastic for creating a clean, uncluttered feel, while, as Colourhappy says, a Roman blind is a great way to add a luxurious feel. Both create a classic look that will never go out of style. Alternatively, as you say, curtains are a gorgeous choice. Floor length curtains would create a real sumptuous look, but you may want to consider how this might block your radiator, especially if you intend to open and close them regularly. Paint the wall with the leasst amount of cabinets on it orange and do everything else the grey. You want an accent of orange. Then bring in touches of orange in dining room, kitchen, and living room. Then find a print with grey and orange in it and upholster the chairs and or make floor to ceiling curtains. The room isn't finished yet. Hi wouls love some colur advice , painting my large pine kitchen cabinets. counter tops are black dappled granite and must stay. cream porcelain marbled tile on floor. the kitchen is a bit dark as window is north facing with westerly light at one side.

Hi, Has anyone experience of polishing preexisting concrete floors? We have bought a 70s house and ground floor all concrete. In good nick but a couple of large cracks. I would love to polish up all existing floor ( hall/ kitchen/ dining / sitting room and wc) to one uniform finish. We are not installing underfloor heating and will be using gas radiators. Is this doable? Is concrete flooring without underfloor heating too cold? I appreciate any advise, Miriam
