“David worked on our house renovation from Jan-Jul 2016. We found him to be personable, accessible, opinionated (in a good way) and committed to delivering a project that works well and is beautiful. During the design of our house, David worked through three iterations of drawings until he and we agreed a plan. David gained a good understanding of what we needed and incorporated our needs into the plans. David helped us to recruit a very good builder. During the build it was invaluable having David around to ensure building was being done in accordance with national safety standards but also to negotiate with the builder how certain work should be done e.g. David insisted on RSJs being recessed, had strong opinions on the height of the extension, and the positioning of a roof light to achieve maximum light and aesthetic appeal. David was a great help in telling us where to source materials in particular the door but also floors, the kitchen and bathroom furniture. He renovates houses all the time so if you know what you want, he can tell you where to get it. David is really interested in producing beautiful work so he's a great person to have in your corner and is always a pleasure to deal with. We recommend highly.”

“When we approached David from Dublin Design Studio in 2011 he was faced with the difficult task of meeting the living requirements of our large family comprising of teenagers and young adults. With this project he did not disappoint. David made the process of a difficult planing application easy and with a given time frame of 2 years and a hope of being settled in for Christmas 2012. We were very pleased to have moved in on the 18th of December 2012. He worked very closely with the building contractor, DC Building & Energy Services to complete a project involving the demolition of an old dwelling and the design and new build of a fabulous contemporary Eco. build comprising of 5,500 sq ft living accommodation. “I employed Caitriona Shaffrey to advise me on the renovation of my house downstairs. I needed to internally insulate all of downstairs and to replace my kitchen. After going through my requirements with Caitriona she suggested I increase my kitchen area slightly in order to open up the space and bring in much needed light. I decided to take her suggestion on board. I was delighted with the initial sketches she provided me with. They gave me a very good idea of how my house would look at the end of the project. During the project Caitriona regularly inspected the progress made and was very helpful when issues arose. I really liked Caitriona’s taste in home decor too. She helped me select the paint colours for my walls, woodwork and kitchen presses. She also helped me choose fabric, lighting and storage solutions.
