This backyard patio features a stone pool deck surrounding a spectacular swimming pool custom spa and stone slide feature for the swimming pool. The pool measures roughly 19'0" x 40'0" and features a 9'0" radius spa which is flush with the decking. There is a lovely spa bar with bar stools, a table lounge, and a slide with a waterfall and grotto. Both the pool and spa feature LED colored lighting. There are 5 deck spray water features surrounding the perimeter of the pool and spa. The coping is natural flagstone with a honed edge. The pool also possesses an in-floor cleaning system to keep the pool clean and sanitary. This beautiful backyard patio and pool was designed and built at a home in St. Charles Illinois.

A gorgeous freeform pool with beautiful boulder work and flagstone decking seamlessly tie in with the natural landscape creating a tranquil oasis.
Lush landscaping accents the raised spa with its layered stone spillway and stunning weeping rock wall. The over-sized sun shelf adds another space to relax in and enjoy the views.

Bridgeport Freeform Infinity Pool & Cabana designed by Mike Farley. This is a clean, neat, tailored diving pool with a large shallow end for activities and swimming laps. There are multiple level flagstone decks, dry stacked retaining walls, and steps to deal with the hillside. Entertainment areas were placed on the sides and the back so not to block any views of the pool or grandchildren swimming. Fire bowls anchored the Vanishing Edge spillway and framed the view of the lake. The cabana provides shelter for the large kitchen and bar area. The back wall of the pool provides additional seating due to the grade and a place to gather around the fire pit. The spa provided good access to the master bedroom and floating pads provided transition between the two terraces.

This pool was constructed with boulders found on site. It is next to a large ledge outcrop and is heavily planted with flowering shrubs and perennials. It features a waterfall and a grotto with seats under the waterfall. The clients requested a pool that appeared to have occurred naturally in the forest and they just built their house next to it.

This is a beautiful natural freeform pool and spa located in Dallas, TX. The big thing about this project that was unique was the trees. We were required to save all the trees. There are a lot of areas where the paving is not mortared together to allow moisture and air through to help the trees. There is a 6' elevation change that helps incorporate the boulders and waterfall into the hillside for a more natural look. There was an existing green house that was removed and the existing garage was turned it into a cabana/pool house with a covered area to relax in with furniture by the deep end of the pool. There is a big deep end for lots of activity along with a nice size shallow end for water sports, including basketball. The clients' wish list included a cave, slide, and waterfalls along with a firepit. The cave can comfortably sit 6 people and is cool in the hot Texas weather. We used pockets of plants around to soften things and break up all the rock to create a more natural look with the overall setting. A bridge was built between the pool and the spa to look like an illusion that the water is running from the pool down into the spa. 2013 APSP Region3 Bronze Award - Designed by Mike Farley.
