This was a playroom for the family's kids when they were little. As they became teenagers it wasn't used as much and so we were brought in to see how the space could be utilized. We turned it into a media room complete with 110" screen, 7 speakers, two rows of seats, and dim lighting.

A home theater movie room can be a fantastic addition to your home, offering a cozy and immersive entertainment experience. Here's a description of what you might include in your home theater room:
Design and Decor:
Comfortable Seating: Opt for plush, reclining chairs or a large sectional sofa with plenty of cushions for ultimate comfort during movie nights.
Acoustic Treatment: Consider installing acoustic panels or sound-absorbing materials on the walls to improve sound quality and reduce echoes.
Dimmable Lighting: Install dimmable sconces or LED strip lights around the room to create ambiance and allow for customizable lighting levels during movie screenings.
Decor Theme: Choose a theme for your home theater room, such as classic Hollywood, modern minimalist, or a specific genre like sci-fi or fantasy, and decorate accordingly with posters, artwork, and memorabilia.
Blackout Curtains or Blinds: Ensure your room has the ability to block out external light for an authentic theater experience, especially if you'll be watching movies during the day.

When our long-time VIP clients let us know they were ready to finish the basement that was a part of our original addition we were jazzed, and for a few reasons.
One, they have complete trust in us and never shy away from any of our crazy ideas, and two they wanted the space to feel like local restaurant Brick & Bourbon with moody vibes, lots of wooden accents, and statement lighting.
They had a couple more requests, which we implemented such as a movie theater room with theater seating, completely tiled guest bathroom that could be "hosed down if necessary," ceiling features, drink rails, unexpected storage door, and wet bar that really is more of a kitchenette.
So, not a small list to tackle.
Alongside Tschida Construction we made all these things happen.
